Day 1: Arrive Puno

Upon arrival in Puno you will have a transfer to your chosen hotel.  If you arrive into Juliaca airport you will have a shared transfer in a mini-bus with other tourists.  The drive is about 45 minutes.  If you arrive into Puno bus or train station you will have a private transfer to your hotel.  Spend the night in our standard hotel in Puno.

Day 2: Islands of Lake Titicaca tour

You will be collected from your hotel early in the morning for a transfer to the port.  Here you will meet the rest of your group and your English speaking guide for the day.  After about 30 minutes by boat you will arrive at the floating Uros Islands, built from reeds by the Uros people who still live on the islands in traditional reed houses.  After a short visit you will continue by boat to Taquile Island.  You will need to walk uphill to the main square in the centre of the island, where you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Island, and have a traditional lunch of fresh trout.  In the afternoon you will have time to explore and appreciate the island and its people, before returning to Puno by boat, arriving at around 5pm.  Spend the night in our standard hotel in Puno.

Day 3: Depart Puno

At the appropriate time you will have a shared transfer from your hotel to Juliaca Airport, or a private transfer to the bus or train station in Puno.

  • DSA Standard Puno Hotel

Our Standard hotel in Puno is clean, comfortable and located just a few blocks from the main Plaza.  All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot water and towels, and some in-room facilities like a TV and phone.  There is wi-fi in the lobby areas and most rooms.  It is tastefully decorated and full of charm.  The rooms are fairly small.  The staff are friendly and helpful, and speak basic English. This hotel is classified as 3* locally.
