Ecuador Destination Guide

Ecuador on the globe

Ecuador is an incredible destination featuring all the South America highlights – Andean highlands with snow-capped peaks, steamy Amazon Rainforests and stunning palm fringed white sand beaches, all within a days drive. The Galapagos Islands lie in the Pacific Ocean, a short flight away from the mainland. A highlight of most trips to South America, the Galapagos are home to species of birds and mammals not found anywhere else on the planet.

Quito

The well preserved historic centre of Quito is a UNESCO world heritage site.  Just 16 miles from the Equator itself, you cannot visit Quito without making a visit to the middle of the world monument, where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere!
