Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you have a private transfer from the airport to your hotel with an English speaking guide. Spend the night at our Standard hotel in Buenos Aires.
Day 2: Half day Group City Tour
You will be picked up from your hotel to join a Group City Tour with an English speaking guide. On this 3 -4 hour tour you will visit the most popular areas of Buenos Aires. The first stop is the famous Plaza de Mayo to visit the Cathedral and Old City Hall, next you can walk the cobblestone streets of San Telmo, before heading to the colourful neighbourhood of La Boca. The tour continues to the renovated Puerto Madero, then Palermo, and finally La Recoleta and its famous cemetery. If you plan to go to a Tango show with dinner while you are in Buenos Aires, we can pre-book your tickets so please ask us for options and prices. Spend the night at our Standard hotel in Buenos Aires.
Day 3: Day at leisure in Buenos Aires
After breakfast at your hotel, you have the whole day free to explore the City independently. There are several day trips that you might want to add – our suggestions would be either a trip to an “Estancia” for a traditional Gaucho experience, or a more leisurely day trip on the Delta at Tigre. You can even take a day trip on the fast catamaran (1 hour) across the River Plate to the beautiful old town of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. Ask us for more information and prices. Spend the night at our Standard hotel in Buenos Aires.
Day 4: Travel from Buenos Aires to Iguazu (flight not included)
At the appropriate time you will have a private transfer from your hotel to Buenos Aires domestic airport. Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazu you will have shared transfer to your hotel. Spend the night at one of our standard hotels in Puerto Iguazu.
Day 5: Full day group tour of Iguazu National Park: Argentina
You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast to join a group and bilingual English/Spanish guide for a full day tour of the Argentinean side of the Iguazu National Park. Stroll around the upper and lower walkways for varied views of the falls, including the impressive “Garganta del Diablo” (Devil’s throat). If you like a thrill and are prepared to get wet, you can take a boat trip to get as close as possible to the base of the falls (you can book and pay for this locally). You will return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Spend the night at one of our standard hotels in Puerto Iguazu.
Day 6: Day at leisure in Puerto Iguazu
You have a free day in Puerto Iguazu. You may want to make a trip to the Brazilian side of the falls and the nearby bird park – ask us for prices if you would like to pre-book this trip. Alternatively you can enjoy relaxing at your hotel.
Day 7: Depart Puerto Iguazu
At the appropriate time you will have a shared transfer from your hotel to the Argentinean airport (IGR). Let us know if you would prefer to depart from the Brazilian airport (IGU).
